The work had been produced in conjunction with Hospital Art Studio for two Welsh hospitals, Wrexham Maelor and Bangor Ysbyty Gwynedd.
Both works titled Rhodd o Fywydd – Gift of Life, covered giant walls up to 10x3mts covered with both printed and glass coloured giant butterflies connected with printed ribbons and wording in both Welsh and English. The Bangor hospital theme featured fish and sea birds, which also covered its large walls and a glass walkway. Both hospitals had a glass centrepiece depicting its chosen theme of butterflies and fish morphing into sea birds, handmade by glass artist Jo Downs at her Cornwall based studio.
