Last month we visited Munich to attend our seventh annual FESPA awards. FESPA is the global federation of screen printing, digital printing and textile printing. The awards are a celebration of the very best in printing, with companies and specialists from across Europe showcasing their most innovative work.

We’ve previously won bronze, silver and gold awards, and were delighted to pick up another silver award, this time within the Display and Packaging on Plastic category. We were shortlisted alongside two companies from Russia and two from India, with Spectrum Scan PVT LTD from India winning gold. It was great to be recognised within a truly international field of entries.
The project that won silver was a refurbishment at Club Energy Gym, Retford. It was the second project we’d completed for this client, after a successful fit-out at their gym in Otley.
We designed and produced large format branding for the whole site. This included window, wall and floor vinyls, as well as panoramic and full-coverage feature wall graphics. It was the sheer multitude of different materials and processes that set this project apart for the judges.

Although we didn’t manage to win gold this time, we’re still extremely proud to be recognised. The FESPA awards are an annual highlight for us here at Digital Plus. They also provide a valuable opportunity for us to see what other new processes and techniques are out there.
