What’s the story?
We helped a learning centre to transform one of their engineering classrooms. We were commissioned to print a full coverage vinyl wall to replicate a life-size workshop environment. The brief also included printing over 100 ceiling tiles showing the underside of a full-size passenger bus.
What was the solution?
For the wall, we used Avery wall laminate with matching matt laminate, produced in various drop sections with a bleed for installation. These were applied directly to fully cover the wall around the switches and other obstructions.
The ceiling tiles were printed onto a class 1 fire-rated white PVC to ensure the finished results were both safe and eye-catching. We installed these between the existing ceiling tiles on the suspended ceiling framework.
Finally, we covered the ceiling lights with translucent printed full-colour vinyls. These were applied to the acrylic light diffuser panels on site. These form part of the image and allow the light to disperse when illuminated.
What were the results?
The graphics create a vibrant feature within the training room. Complete with visuals that both decorate and educate, the space is now an engaging and unique place to learn.
